Why help?

Quality psychological care is important to the health of our nation. As many as 1 in 4 people are personally affected by mental health issues in their lifetime.

Milton H. Erickson was a pioneer in the field of mental health. Noted by Networker magazine as one of the top ten most influential psychologists this past quarter-century, Milton Erickson falls among the ranks of Carl Jung, Albert Ellis, Virginia Satir, Carl Rogers, and Aaron Beck. He is known for his focus on "individualizing" psychotherapeutic treatment and honoring people as unique.

The Milton H. Erickson Foundation is here to perpetuate the teachings of the late Milton Erickson through education, research, and preservation of historical documents. Please support our work.

  • The Foundation Facility

A new facility is under development for the Foundation. With your support we can move into the building within this next year. Currently, our committed staff works out of small 1940's bungalows in central Phoenix. The new building allows for expansive archives and access to them, dedicated teaching space, and greater function to support the daily operations we undertake to fulfill our mission.
  • The Erickson Family Home

Acquired by the Foundation in 2010 from the Erickson Family, our goal is to maintain Dr. Erickson's original office and outer ”parlor“ as it appeared when he conducted his famous teaching seminars. The home is a learning center, and soon to be museum.
  • The Archives

The Foundation maintains and adds to the collection of audiotapes, videotapes, case files, memorabilia and historical material on Dr. Erickson for the Archives. The Archives are available to interested and qualified professionals who wish to come to Phoenix to independently study this material housed at the Foundation.
  • The video documentary Wizard of the Desert

Currently in production by famed German filmmaker, Alex Vesley (grandson of Viktor Frankl), Wizard of the Desert will include archival footage, contemporary interviews, and recreations of historic scenes in Dr. Ericksonīs life. A brief clip from the documentary can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/user/CLIPWERKCREATIVE
  • Elizabeth Erickson Scholarship Fund

Contributions to this fund are combined with royalty proceeds from the book A Tribute to Elizabeth Moore Erickson, to benefit an underprivileged indigenous female student at the Centro Ericksoniano de Mexico.
